Continuous Glucose Monitoring
There's no question that diabetes is difficult to diagnose and difficult to treat. Everyone is different. What works for one person may not work for you.
You may already be taking regular fingerstick readings to measure your glucose levels. Unfortunately, this method may not tell the whole story. In order to establish the right treatment for you, your doctor may need more specific informtion.

A continuous glucose monitor is a small device worn for a few days as specified by your doctor. It's positioned comfortably just under under the skin, usually at the back or side of your hip.
This incredibly efficient monitor records 288 readings every 24 hours--about one every five minutes! It provides your doctor with a level of detail about the highs and lows of your sugar levels that's far more accurate than any other method.
TLC Diagnostics is the exclusive provider of CGM services on the East Coast!
The CGM, or continuous glucose monitor, will help you and your doctor identify not only the magnitude and duration of your "glycemic excursions" (sugar highs and lows), but when they occur during a normal 24-hour cycle.
This is such important information. It's really the most effective way to understand, treat and control your diabetes. TLC Diagnostics has vast clinical experience with CGM's. Our certified technicians will walk you through the whole process and answer any questions you may have.
At the end of the testing period, your technican will remove the monitor. All stored data will be downloaded and forwarded directly to your doctor in the form of reports and graphs. You will have the opportunity to discuss this information with your doctor and the next steps to better health.
